A juvenile New Zealand Fur Seal looks into the camera. Young fur seals can be extreeeeemely playful, which makes for an incredibly fun and interactive swimming experience. So capturing this image took way longer than I care to admit. I had to calmly approach, agree the terms of a ceasefire, then snap the portrait before she darted away again through a plume of bubbles.
