Golden Age

Golden Age

from A$55.00

Port Jackson season is upon us here in Sydney, and you can find many of these sharks patrolling the shallows. Not to be confused with their close cousin, the Crested Horn Shark, Port Jackson’s have a distinctive ‘saddle’ marking behind their pectoral fins that distinguish them from their mottle patterned friends.

Typically when the Giant Cuttlefish mating season is coming to a close and the species begin to die off and disperse, they are replaced by a large population of sharks. There are also plenty of young Dusky Whaler’s around at the moment, if you know where to look.
