Of course this is not a rose… nor is it considered flora of any kind! This is in fact a Sabella Worm. This image shows the spiralling fan-like feeding tentacles that are used to filter edible particulates from the water column, which are then drawn into the worms’ mouth. Any rogue sand particles and non-edible materials that are collected in the tentacles will be used to build and reinforce the tube that the worm lives inside.
