This encounter was special. I originally spent around ten minutes moving around with this Reaper Cuttlefish to see whether it would follow, and sure enough it did. Then my buddy called me over to look at an eel that was being particularly interactive, and we subsequently continued along with the dive plan. On the return journey, however, I thought I would check in on my new cuttle-shaped friend, and was amazed as I approached the area and he/she jumped right in front of my torch light. And I really mean ‘jumped’, as the cuttle was so enthusiastic about getting back into the light! This image was captured during that second interaction.
